Basic Grooves is one of the longest running techno organisations in The Netherlands. The infamous club nights have become a corner stone of the techno scene in the east. In recent years, artists like Jeff Mills, Robert Hood, Dave Clarke, DVS1, Avalon Emerson, Charlotte de Witte and Paula Temple found their way to Enschede to headline the events.
Founded in 1996, the club nights were intended as a response to the rising popularity of electronic music events. The club nights quickly became a breeding ground for a generation of new artists and promoters, ranging from Joris Voorn to Brent Roozendaal.
The club nights are followed by a huge rave on Kingsday (27 April) by the name of DE REACTIE. The location for this rave is Langezijds, a former chemistry laboratory on the campus of Universiteit Twente. April 2019 will be the last chance to experience this incredible location, as it is scheduled for renovations.
Last but not least, Basic Grooves is behind the only techno festival this side of the country: Onder De Radar Festival. This house & techno festival takes place at an abandoned military airbase in Enschede. The first edition was a huge success, with positive reviews from Resident Advisor and many of the artists on the line-up. The second edition is set for the 27th of July, and it’s going to be something to look out for.

Would you like to buy or sell second hand tickets safely? Then use the DE REACTIE Resale Platform. This is the only way to 100% safely sell your ticket(s). After your ticket is sold, the purchaser will get a fully new ticket with unique barcode. Therefore, do not use other channels to sell or purchase second hand tickets.
Via the Resale Platform you can not ask for a higher price than what you paid for it, which we think is fair. As purchaser however, you pay an 8% transaction fee.
Selling tickets
– You can sell your ticket(s) for a maximum of 100% of the nominal value (ex service fee).
– The purchaser will be charged 8% transaction fee. Originally paid service fees, will not be refunded when you sell your ticket.
– As a seller, offer your ticket by logging into your Basic Grooves account. While ordering, you have also done this; it is done in the same way.
– Go to your order and then click on ‘More actions‘ and then on ‘Resale‘.
– The seller will receive a confirmation as soon as their ticket is sold. The purchaser can withdraw their ticket at any time, as long as it is not sold yet or added to someones shopping basket.
Please note: it is not possible to sell your locker tickets within 3 days before the event, as the locker codes will have been sent out at this time.
Choose a pick-up point near you, request your own pick-up point or organize your own bus trip if you are with a large group.
For groups, they have great rewards such as free bus and/or entrance ticket(s).

We are ready! With lovely sunny weather arriving, and a beautiful festival site, it’s almost here. Can’t wait anymore either? Just to be sure, check out the last important information before DE REACTIE.
In short, these are the key issues:
• So come early, as we’re expecting big crowds between 15:00 and 17:00
• Don’t bring a bag
• Bring something warm
• Very last tickets available now
Tickets
Tickets are still available, but be quick. There won’t be any tickets at the door, as we’re headed towards sold out!
Address
University of Twente, Drienerlolaan 5, Enschede.
Expected crowds
We’re expecting a lot of visitors arriving between 15:00 and 17:00. If you’re all set up at the entrance at 14:00, you reduce your chances of waiting in line and missing out!
Times
We open at 14:00. Then we continue until midnight! Come early to get ahead of the crowds we are expecting between 15:00 en 17:00.
Personalize tickets
Don’t forget to personalize your ticket through your Basic Grooves account. On your order page, you can select a ticket and choose “Assign Tickets”. Assigning tickets by name or changing the name on a ticket is possible until the end of the event the event.
Reselling tickets
Use the DE REACTIE Resale Platform. This is the only way to 100% safely resell or buy your ticket(s). After selling your ticket, the buyer will receive a completely new ticket with a new unique barcode.
Ticket support
At the main entrance, there will be an entrance-manager from our ticketprovider Paylogic present during the beginning of our event, who can answer all your questions regarding tickets. Make sure you bring your ID, confirmation email (if you have it) and proof of payment.
Recycling system
During DE REACTIE, we’re using a recycling system. Upon entry you will receive a recycle token. You can then order your drinks with the purchased tokens and hand in your recycle token. After that, return your empty cup with your next order! Without an empty cup or recycling token, you pay 0.5 coin extra.
Bring something warm
The weather forecast is fantastic! Still, it can cool down considerably in the evening, so it’s smart to bring a warm sweater with you.
Lockers
There are lockers available on site. We advice you to get order yours online before the event. You can do so here! The size of a locker is 30cm wide, 40cm deep and 24cm high. Lockers are €10,-.
Online lockers
You’ll receive an SMS with your locker code at 08:00 AM on the day of the event.
Outdoor
This event is outdoor, but two areas are fully covered. The other two areas are outdoors. Dance in the sun or forget about time in a dark techno hall, the choice is yours!
Food
Yes, there is plenty of choice! Fruit, pasta, as well as burgers and fries.
What’s NOT allowed to bring
Own food and/or drinks are NOT allowed to bring with you.
Glass is NOT allow on and around the festival grounds.
Fluids are NOT allowed (deodorant, deodorant rollers, perfumes, hairspray etc.) to bring with you.
Sunscreen IS allowed to bring with you as a tube, but NOT as a spray.
Medicine are NOT allowed to bring with you without a medication passport.

You must be at least 18 years old for this event. Be sure to bring some ID, you may be asked to present it.
Cigarettes
There are no cigarettes for sale during DE REACTIE. It’s also not allowed to smoke inside the tents or under roofs.
In & Out
After leaving the event, it is not possible to go back inside.
PIN (card)
You can pay both cash or by card at DE REACTIE.
Bicycle and (partial) scooters
There is an unguarded bicycle shed where you can place your bike or (share) scooter.
Car
Parking is free on the paved parking lot of FC Twente/Grolsch Veste, which is about a 10 minute walk from the festival. Address: Colosseum 65, Enschede. Follow the signing signs.
Train
DE REACTIE is a 10-minute walk from Enschede Kennispark station. Keep in mind the adjusted timetable on Kingsnight. Plan your trip in advance via 9292. Check in time if you can still catch your connection.
Cab
Make sure the driver follows the signing signs ‘Taxi’ towards the cab stand, which is within walking distance of the grounds. When you leave the grounds, there will be cabs at the dedicated cab rank.
Kiss and Ride
This is clearly marked with signing signs and is easily accessible to both visitors and drivers.

Lost something?
We collect all found items during DE REACTIE at the main entrance. Everything that is not collected on the day itself is handed over to the municipality. All items will be placed on the “Verloren of Gevonden” website approximately 2 business days after the event. You can also make a report there yourself if you have lost something: see their FAQ for more information.
Forgot something in your locker?
If you left something in your locker, you can contact Eventsafe using this form. They have collected all items left in the lockers.
